Tennis Star Rafael Nadal Launches Two Luxury Property Projects on the Costa del Sol
Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal, alongside businessman Abel Matutes, is embarking on two luxury housing projects on the Costa del Sol. These developments will be managed by Palya Invest, a real estate company founded by Nadal and Matutes, in collaboration with Sierra Blanca Estates, which will handle the construction and marketing of the luxury homes and apartments.

Sierra Blanca Estates revealed that the plan includes 47 beachfront homes on a 36-hectare plot in the Los Llanos area of Estepona, acquired in 2019 by Mabel Capital, owned by Matutes and Manuel Campos Guallar. Earlier this year, Nadal and Matutes parted ways with Campos, their former partner in restaurant ventures, and decided to pursue independent real estate projects, including those now underway with Sierra Blanca Estates.

The Estepona development aims to offer luxury multi-family homes with direct beach access.

Meanwhile, a second project in Marbella will feature around 40 luxury residences in the Nagüeles area. Construction on these nearly 100 homes, representing a total investment of about 200 million euros, is set to begin next year. The properties will be developed as branded residences, featuring luxury homes with access to five-star hotel services and amenities.

Sierra Blanca Estates, partnering with Nadal and Matutes, who served as Spain's Foreign Minister from 1996 to 2000, adds these projects to its portfolio of high-end developments on Marbella's Golden Mile. These include the "Epic" development, with 74 upscale homes, as well as five exclusive villas designed in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, three of which have already sold for around 15 million euros each. Sierra Blanca Estates is also awaiting approval for a 92-home complex on the Golden Mile, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, with half of the properties already sold off-plan at prices ranging from four to twenty million euros.
