The World famous Hard Rock is scheduled to open from June of next year, after renovation works are complete on the site of what was, in the 1970s, the first hotel in the world-famous Puerto Banús.

Hard Rock International is one of the most recognised companies worldwide with offices in 68 countries, and Todd Hricko, Hard Rock Hotels Senior Vice President of Hotel Development, could not hide his desire to be present on the coast: “We have long had our eyes set on the beautiful region of the Costa del Sol and we are sure that the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella will shine in the market”.
And it will do so with 384 rooms, of which 50 will be suites. “After the long-awaited opening of Hard Rock Hotel Madrid last summer, and the continued success of the properties in Ibiza and Tenerife, we are delighted to offer another beautiful property in Spain and show the continued growth of the brand in the country and around the world ”, said Hricko.
It will also feature six gastronomic offerings along with a roof terrace on the top floor, which will house a VIP bar and an infinity pool with panoramic views. The Hard Rock Hotel Marbella will also have a wellness centre, with a heated indoor pool, gym and a Rock Spa with six treatment areas, a sauna and a relaxation room.
The company, which already operates in 241 locations with hotels, casinos, shops, venues for live shows and cafes, also focuses on incentive tourism, meetings and congresses. And Hricko says the renovated hotel will have "one of the largest meeting and event spaces in the Marbella market."
True to its origin, Hard Rock International has also announced that the Marbella hotel will feature a collection of art and memorabilia in rooms and common spaces that will reflect Hard Rock's distinctive design aesthetic and 'showcase the vibrant arts culture of Spain".
The chain said, “Hard Rock is actively acquiring memorabilia from celebrated artists from the Spanish music, dance and art fields that will be presented to create an authentic experience for the guests.”
The firm began with an Eric Clapton guitar and now owns the largest and most valuable collection of authentic musical memorabilia in the world with more than 86,000 pieces, which are displayed in their locations around the world.
Miguel Casas, CEO of Stoneweg Hospitality, which together with Bain Capital Credit acquired the hotel property earlier this year, is also excited about the project. “We are very pleased to bring the Hard Rock Hotels brand to Andalucía Plaza.
